Oh what a day.

Fatherhood, innocence, innocence lost, the mistakes we make as people; the pain of wondering about forgiveness and if it can ever be achieved. Echoes of the interplay between faith and works and the conversations I have with my dad. The book is f'n brilliant. I've got homework to do and I can't put it down except to come down from the emotional high Saramago gives his readers.
